The National Credit Union Administration,the strongest of all federal deposit insurance funds, has now increased account coverages as part of the financial rescue plan recently passed by congress. It deserves mentioning in these tough economic times that your individual deposits are now insured to $250,000.00 and your joint deposits to $500,000.00. In addition, your IRA's are insured to $250,000.00. If you have a joint account you could have coverage up to $750,000.00!
